The non toxic Silly Putty is able to bounce if dropped, can also stretch farther than ordinary Rubber, won’t go moldy and has a very high melting temperature !. Charles F. Goldie

The painting I have chose to re-produce was A Noble Relic of A Noble Race, Wharekauri Tahuna of Ngati Manawa. This was painted 1910 AD the man in the portrait died at an old age of 102. It was painted in Ngati Manawa a.k.a Bay of Plenty. The paintings origin is obviously Aotearoa, And it was painted with oil on canvas. The thing that took my eye was the moko around his face, it grabbed my attention to all the little details to it and the meaning towards it.

Charles Frederick Goldie was born on October 20th. He was raised by his mother and father. David Goldie and Maria Parkington they were a poor family and didn’t have much things. Charles was raised in a family with 7 other siblings 8 including himself. David Goldie Charles father was a timber merchant, politician and a strict Primitive Methodist.

This term in Extension, we were given a task to pick one of Charles Frederick Goldie. The painting that I have chosen to reproduce was 'A Noble Relic of A Noble Race'. This is a painting of an old maori man that is sitting down resting. The thing that I found out was the most challenging was the Moko because all of the little detail that was in it, there was so many things that I couldn't get into the moko like all little detailed bits that had too many detail to get in. Also the wrinkles that I couldn't do.

I hope that anyone that comes to the Point England Art Exhibition that is taking place at our own school. I Hope that people come because all the students in the school have put all there effort into it.

My Les Twins Reflection

In extension we were given a task to research a person to do a Bio on them. It wasn't all that hard at first we had to get some information on them and then we had to put together a presentation, unfortunately I never finished my presentation which was suppose to be 2 minutes i only ended up with a 16sec presentation.

But with all the information I gathered on the Les Twins was important I think that I had to more or less revolve around the putting everything together part of it. Next time I should make the effort to actually do the things that I know that I have to get finished and not muck around. So for our next task gien im going to put all my time into my project.

What I have concluded is that the Les Twins are a good duo together and that they took a lot of time into doing things that they wanted to achieve and to get where they are now. It might of taken some time but you have to be patient because you don't become famous in one day. The End

Show Not Tell - Raining

As I quietly walked through the streets, water was all over the ground. Puddles were everywhere with leaves in them like fallen soldiers. Water poured all over my face dropping off the tip of leaves and onto my hair. The streets were quiet and the sun was still arising, hazy through the mist while rain still fell like being poured out of a watering can. It was cold as Ice but as smooth as silk on my a skin.

My MihiMihi

Kia Ora My name is Cruz as you already know im a year 8 now and its great to be in extension for the 5TH time in extension Wow. Im very happy to be here this time im going to be as good as I can possibly be and not muck around and give it my best shot. So this time its going to be my last year to I head off to college.

The Symbols explain me as most people should know but if you don't know what they are or what they mean then i'll tell you. The Bible shows that I believe in GOD and that he is a really big thing in my life. The Treaty Of Waitangi also known as Te Tiriti O Waitangi in te reo Maori is a important thing to me as well its a lot cause im Maori and if that wasn't there most of my ancestors would have died many years ago. PES a.k.a Point England School is another big thing to me what ever I do when I wear these clothes people know what school I go to so if I do something stupid that effects our school. Friendship is also a big part of life to me without my friends that I have now I don't know what I would do they mean a a lot to me they keep me laughing and they always keep me company when im around them.

RWC Samoa vs Namibia

O.K this is it, the game I've finally been waiting for, this is the day that Namibia have their first game and its against Samoa!!!. The way I predict this game is that Samoa might have a chance of winning but on the other hand Namibia are one of the countries that I strongly support and they have a strong line up. But the way I look at it Samoa is going to win if they use good team work and share the ball around and go hard that they will win and come out champions.

Thank you to this site for the picture :)

My Favourites Poem

FAVOURITES

I love the sound of the pouring rain as it batters down on the roof top,
I like the day as the clock ticks away I run out of school like a happy fool ,
I like the colour of Roses and Daisy’s but the colour I like the most is Violets all flowers are cool but only some are the best,
I love my mum shes as caring as a care bear when she does everything,
I like Lime and Raspberry, like it came from the dairy but I always liked coke the best
C is for Cookie that’s good enough for me ooh Cookie Cookie Cookie are for me,
The loud crack of THUNDER and LIGHTNING, Its also fast like its bolting,
Daffodil’s and daisies are beautiful as my mum
As I run and I jump and I dive and I score I jump up and down as I throw up the ball,
I’m as busy as a bee hive after a long holiday from school during week 4-7,
I love to stand on the shores of Pt England beach especially during summertime when its nice and hot …

My Reflection On Our Beep Test

"WooooooW now that was like we were running a marathon or something" I said as my lungs bursted for air. I had stopped as my friends kept jogging from cone to cone. We were in the middle of a beep test, this was a test to see what our fitness level was at. My final score in the end was 4.3 and I was already tired as I could possibly be. As more and more people stopped it came down to the final person Ieremus. As he ran people cheered until he came to a stop with a final score of 8.1.
To get up my fitness level I have to eat healthy everyday and to train hard and to go to sleep at a reasonable time. Just like my motto 'NO TRAIN NO GAIN'.
For people out there a beep test is a test to see what your fitness level is at and if you have a high-score that means that you are very very fit and if you get over 6.0 in england you will be able to become a rugby player!!!

Todays Maths

Problem 1: There are 182 cars in Sales Lot. 78 of the cars are in the Auction Showroom. How many cars are left outside on the lot?
This is the solution I came up with:
182-70=112-8=104

If you came up with a different solution and answer feel free to leave a comment with your solution and answer !

This term in maths we are focusing on geometry. Translation means to move one object from one point to another without Rotating it, resizing it or redrawing it. At the beginning of the task I had no idea at all I didn't even no what geometry
at one point. But now I no what it is even though im still trying to find out what it properly is I have a fair feeling I do!

The Deadly Wind

At 3:00pm on North Shore Albany there was a unexpected Tornado it destroyed houses, cars, buildings and even trampolines. It was a very tragic moment for the people in Albany, It was even sadder when, a man lost his life he was described as a man in his thirties and a Philippine. I feel sad the man family and for there lost and I hope they can get all the help they need.

People described the Tornado as a huge gust of wind that roared through the city it caused chaos to the people who watched as it tore the roof of pak'n'save and destroyed PlaceMakers. It sounded like a jet-engine descending, cars were uplifted and thrown from one side of the city to the other side. It was like a game of twister but you make a wrong move you don't fall over you DIE.
